Our Story

At Little Acorns, we are continually consulting with children, whānau, and the wider community to provide children with positive educational experiences and opportunities in alignment with the Early Childhood Curriculum; Te Whāriki.

Little Acorns philosophy is based on the core principles of relationships, communication, and responsibilities. A safe and positive environment nurtures each child in their confidence to learn, explore and grow. A secure attachment is fundamental to this.

We collaborate with families, the children, and each other so that all members of the Little Acorns whānau are aware of the expectations and can feel understood, listened to, and respected. Open and honest communication provides the foundation in which teachers, parents/whānau, and their children can be successful partners in providing quality learning experiences.

We value New Zealand/Aotearoa as a bi-cultural / multi-cultural society. We identify Māori as Tangata Whenua and are committed to upholding the principles of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the use of Te Reo as a living language. Little Acorns is an inclusive environment for all.
